Research
My research experience is related to my work at the academe, both as a student and as a teacher in the areas of hydraulics, water resources, and fluid mechanics, and are summarized as follows:
- Dissertation at Kanda Laboratory: coherent turbulent structures over an urban boundary layer, using the PALM (parallelized large eddy simulation model) code of Dr. Siegfried Raasch of the Leibniz Universität Hannover
- UNESCO researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology: heat flux of vertical walls in the urban canopy layer, using LES
- Assistant professor at De La Salle University: hydraulic and hydrologic studies of various media
- M.Sci. in Civil Engineering: flood hazard analysis of Metro Manila
- B.Sci. in Civil Engineering: hydrologic study for a micro-hydro powerplant
